Renew Your License

How to renew your call sign:

#1 – Go to the FCC ULS License Manager:

Here you will request your call sign to be renewed.

#2 – Go to the FCC CORES site to pay your FCC fee:

Here you will pay your FCC Fee.

NOTE: There are known issues when using a cell phone or tablet to pay your FCC Fee. It will appear to work, and may even deduct the funds to your bank account, but ultimately it will not apply your payment to your FCC account. Please use a laptop or a desktop computer instead.

#3 – Wait for the FCC to process your payment and your license renewal.

This usually happens overnight. You should receive an email from the FCC. This email will contain a link to the official copy of your renewed license. If you don’t find the email in your INBOX, be sure to check your SPAM folder. If you still can’t find the email, simply go to FCC ULS License Manager (see step #1 above), log in, find your license, and download an Official Copy of your renewed license (make sure it is showing your new expiration date), and save it to your computer. We highly recommend that you save your license to a “cloud storage” site (like Dropbox, Onedrive, Google Drive, etc.). This way you can access your license on all your devices whenever you need, and where ever you need.

NOTE: The FCC does not process any payments or renewals on Saturdays, Sundays, or on any Federal holidays.
